The DevSquad approach

to discovery

Want to avoid dumb mistakes? We got you.

WITHOUT DEVSQUAD

icon

Try to cobble together your own discovery process

Without the right expertise, you're stuck trying to figure out the complexities of user research and prototyping on your own. This DIY approach leads to costly mistakes and wasted time.

icon

Guess what the market wants

When you go with the wrong partner, you’re stuck making assumptions about what your users need. Most agencies skip the crucial step of validating ideas, leaving you to guess what the market actually wants.

icon

Waste money on a monster

Traditional development firms often push bloated, overcomplicated solutions. They focus on building big, not building smart, leading to wasted resources and a product that’s hard to manage.

icon

Settle for UX that turns users away

Many agencies overlook the importance of user experience, leaving you with a product that’s clunky, confusing, and off-putting to users. Poor UX can sink your product before it even gets started.

WITH DEVSQUAD

icon

Get started with an optimized framework

We provide you with a proven framework that’s designed for efficiency and success. Our process is refined to eliminate guesswork and get you on the fast track to a functional, scalable product.

We don’t build on hunches. Before a single line of code is written, we help you validate your ideas. We show you how to take control of user research and develop strong relationships with your target audience.

icon

Create a technically viable concept

We prioritize lean, technically sound architecture that fits your goals and budget. We choose functionality and performance over hype, so you get exactly what you need without unnecessary extras.

icon

Win over users with stellar UX

We design with your users in mind, crafting an intuitive and engaging experience that keeps them coming back. Great UX is at the core of our development process. Your product will delight users from day one.

Frequently asked questions about our product discovery team

What is a discovery sprint?

Switcher

A discovery sprint is a collaborative process to validate new products or features before development. It involves ideation workshops, prototyping, and user testing to deliver UX designs that meet user needs and drive business value. At DevSquad, we offer discovery sprints to transform your vision into a tangible roadmap so your product is both viable and desirable before development even begins.

How long does the discovery sprint take?

Switcher

A discovery sprint typically takes 4 to 8 weeks, but it might need to be extended to 12 weeks for more complex projects or if there are multiple stakeholders involved. In the case of ambiguities, it’s far more cost-effective to lengthen the discovery sprint rather than jump prematurely into development.

Will you validate my idea for me?

Switcher

We take full control over the process, but that doesn’t mean we do everything for you. We’ve found that the most successful founders are very hands-on with discovery. That’s why we teach you how to conduct user testing to validate the prototype that we build. Think of it as teaching a man to fish instead of giving him fish. We want your business to succeed.

What happens after the discovery sprint?

Switcher

You can either build the product yourself or continue working with us. We give you everything you need to make the right decision, including the prototype, roadmap, backlog, and development estimate. If you choose to work with us, the validated ideas are handed over to the delivery squad, who takes over development and deployment. On average, we take new SaaS products to market in 6 months, utilizing our extensive pre-built library of basic features and integrations wherever possible.

How often should we do discovery sprints?

Switcher

Discovery sprints need to happen regularly to make sure your product evolves with real user demands—not internal guesses. Regular sprints help you prioritize and validate new ideas before they’re added to your roadmap. We recommend that most clients go through the discovery sprint process every 3 to 4 months.
